2018-19 Calendar

Monday, July 23rd at 10 am – Storytime in Sleepy Hollow Park. Join us in Springdale’s Sleepy Hollow Park for a morning of songs, stories, and sunshine! In case of inclement weather, storytime will be moved to the Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch Library. Ages 5 and under with an adult. Sleepy Hollow Park is located in the Springdale neighborhood of Stamford off of Lawton Avenue.

This event is co-sponsored with The Ferguson Library.

Tuesday, August 7th at 6 pm – Coffee with a Cop at the Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch Library. Join us in celebrating National Night Out as we enjoy coffee and refreshments with our local police officer and discuss issues in the community.  National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. This event is co-sponsored with The Ferguson Library.

January 17, 2018 – 5:30 pm – Join us for a SNA Meet Up at Upper Deck Fitness, 72 Camp AV.  Come dressed to put your new year’s resolutions to work in a variety of sample routines!   Wine, small bites, and conversation with neighbors afterwards.

May 11 –  Meet the City of Stamford’s new Transportation Bureau Chief,  James Travers at  6:45 pm Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch Library

June 8  – Annual meeting and election of officers – 6:45 pm Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch Library

September 14 – Open topic discussion

November 9 – bimonthly meeting 6:45 pm Weed Memorial & Hollander Branch Library.  Open discussion with Ralph Blessing, Land Use Bureau Chief, on village commercial district, Springdale parking ratios (your input on congestion spots needed), and zoning violations and enforcement.  Bring your questions and input!  Added guest: Frank Petise, one of Stamford’s new traffic engineers,  in charge of parking.

December 3, 2017 – 4 pm, Springdale Holiday Tree Lighting (see flyer below):  Join us for holiday singing by local children’s groups, enjoy hot cocoa and cookies.  Each child will receive a free gift. Santa will arrive to greet the children in an antique fire engine, and the child who is the  lucky ticket holder will raise the wand to light the tree!  The event is free.  Location: Marilyn Trefry Park, Hope @ Largo Dr.   For more information, contact springdaleassn@gmail.com .

A box will be available for those who wish to make food donations to Lower Fairfield County Food bank (canned or nonperishable goods).
