Since the Association’s founding in 1991, we have worked hard to improve Springdale.

Here are just a few of our accomplishments:

  • SNA raised over $4000 in 2017 Giving Day contributions toward our new pocket park
  • In 2017, SNA launched  the Springdale Directory
  • In 2016, SNA teamed with local families to spruce up the  Lawton AV side of
    Sleepy Hollow Park.
  • In fall 2016, SNA organized our first Coffee with a Cop event
  • In summer 2016, the SNA Mean Clean and Green Team donated over 150 hours of labor toward beautifying and maintaining the park and business district
  • In September 2016, SNA hosted a popup street garden for Stamford PARKing Day
  • SNA successfully created a Springdale Village Commercial District with our city planners
  • Coordinated Train Station renovation with State Representatives and Department of Transportation
  • Planted hundreds of trees and flowers on Hope Street
  • Annual Spring and Fall Cleanups
  • Tree-Lighting Ceremony every December
  • Initiated and coordinated a Mural Project on Mulberry Street through a grant
  • Installed town clock & garden at train station
  • Successfully campaigned for renovation/expansion of Weed Memorial Hollander Branch Library
  • Graffiti removal and prevention program
  • Participation in Fire Safety Day with Springdale Fire Department
  • Worked with U.S. Postal Service on design of the Camp Avenue Post Office
  • Community Bulletin Board at the Springdale Shopping Center
  • Host of Mayor’s Night Out at the Weed Memorial and Hollander Branch Library
